Ank Michielsen

PETROSS Grant Program Manager Ank Michielsen works at the University of Illinois. She obtained her B.S. and M.S. from Wageningen University in Plant Science, Rural Sociology and Communication and Innovation studies. She then earned a M.S. in business administration from Open University in Great Britain. Prior to coming to Illinois, Michielsen was the Head of Project Control for the Department of Environmental Studies at Wageningen University.  She also served as the Program Manager of a regional funding program in Cambridge, where she managed an annual budget of $3 million and 20 projects.

As Program Manager, Michielsen administers the PETROSS project’s $6 million budget. She also monitors milestones, coordinates meetings, and ensures that up-to-date data is shared among researchers.
