Bosen Zhang

Bosen Zhang is a postdoctoral research associate with the Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois. He received his B.S. in Agronomy from Shenyang Agriculture University and went on to earn his Ph.D. in Biology from Tsinghua University in China. 

Zhang is identifying stem specific promoters and building improved transformation vectors for PETROSS plants.

The PETROSS project is funded by ARPA-E (Advanced Research Projects Agency—Energy) within the U.S. Department of Energy.
