Saroj Parajuli

Graduate Student Saroj Parajuli is Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agronomy at the University of Florida, after having completed a visiting research fellowship there in 2014. He received his B.S. and M.S. from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences. For both his B.S. and M.S., Saroj received merit scholarships from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences at Tribhuwan University in Nepal.

Saroj Parajuli is developing transgenic sugarcane plants with increased energy density by directing carbon flux into triacylglycerols for the PETROSS program.

The PETROSS project is funded by ARPA-E (Advanced Research Projects Agency—Energy) within the U.S. Department of Energy.
